Back in 2016, our founder, Derek, was working as a full-time in EMS, and part time in the Fire Service when he discovered a new passion—crafting. What started as a hobby making handmade knives quickly turned into a need for custom leather sheaths. That’s when he picked up leatherworking tools, unknowingly setting the foundation for what would become Little River Customs.

As word spread, fellow first responders and business owners took notice. The demand for custom gear—made to withstand the toughest conditions—led Derek to expand his craft beyond personal projects. Soon, leather fire shields, custom apparel, and one-of-a-kind branded merchandise became a staple of the business.
