What This Role Looks Like

At Little River Customs, production work is hands on and detail driven. Team members support the day to day creation and fulfillment of custom firefighter gear. This role requires focus, consistency, and pride in clean, accurate work.

Most work is done in a shop environment and includes a mix of production tasks, finishing work, and general shop upkeep. Flexibility matters, as no two days look exactly the same.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for dependable people who take pride in doing quality work and understand that small details add up. Experience can be taught. Work ethic and mindset cannot.

This role is a good fit for someone who:

  • Enjoys hands on, detail focused work
  • Can follow a process and maintain consistent results
  • Takes responsibility for their work and communicates when something is off
  • Is comfortable with repetitive tasks done to a high standard
  • Shows up on time and is reliable day to day
  • Respects the fire service and the work behind the gear

Prior experience with leatherwork, painting, embroidery, or ecommerce fulfillment is helpful but not required. We care more about attention to detail, willingness to learn, and how you approach your work.

Schedule and Work Environment

All work takes place on site at our Newton North Carolina shop. In a hands on production environment. This is not a remote role.

Hours are generally daytime, around a standard 9 to 5 schedule, with some flexibility depending on workload and role. Both part time and full time positions may be available as business needs change.

Painting and finishing work makes up a primary portion of this role and is typically done while seated at a workbench. This position requires steady hands, patience, and the ability to focus on detailed work for extended periods of time.

Work is done in a small shop setting. At times, team members may be working independently without direct supervision on site. This requires self motivation, attention to detail, and the ability to stay on task while working alone.

Additional production tasks may involve standing, moving around the shop, handling materials, and supporting different steps of the workflow as needed.
