Each Axe shield is handmade from full-grain leather and hand painted. The textured main surface shown in the product gallery is part of the design presentation. Current variants are based on shield dimensions rather than separate texture or beveling upgrades.

Once the hardware is secured, tighten everything evenly and break it in so it sits clean and square.
