Receive a 20% code
After photo approval, send the old shield to LRC. Once the approved physical shield is received, LRC sends a 20% code for an eligible standard helmet shield.
Receive the eligible refund
After photo approval, place the eligible order. Once LRC receives the approved trade in shield, 20% of the eligible shield item subtotal is refunded.
Retire the old shield to the LRC Shield Wall
Approved trade in shields become property of Little River Customs and may be added to the in-store Shield Wall, displayed, archived, recycled or otherwise handled by LRC.
The idea is simple: give the old shield a proper retirement while helping offset the cost of the new one.
Helmet Shield Trade In FAQ
Can I trade in a competitor helmet shield?
Yes. Competitor-made leather helmet shields can be submitted for review if you own the shield or have permission to surrender it.
Can I trade in a department-issued shield?
Only if you have permission from the department or rightful owner.
Does condition matter?
Condition is not the main concern. Worn, faded, retired and damaged leather helmet shields may still qualify after photo review.
Does the discount apply to Full Custom shields?
No. The trade in offer applies only to eligible standard LRC helmet shield designs.
Who pays to ship the old shield to LRC?
The customer pays to send the approved trade in shield to Little River Customs. Tracked shipping is recommended.
What happens to my old shield?
Once received, the trade in shield becomes property of Little River Customs and may be displayed on the Shield Wall, archived, recycled or otherwise handled by LRC.
