Acrylic Helmet Shield Templates

Lay out your next firefighter leather helmet shield with a reusable acrylic template in the shape and size you need. These reusable acrylic helmet shield templates give you a consistent outside outline to trace onto leather before cutting, helping you repeat the same shield profile from one project to the next.

Choose Shape 1 or Shape 2, then select one of six sizes. Each purchase includes one physical template for the selected combination. At $20 each, individual templates are a practical choice when you work in one size, want to try a different profile, or need to replace a template in your workshop.

Made for Your Shield Making Workbench

Each template is made from 1/8" acrylic and marked with its shield size so you can identify it while laying out a project. The rigid shape provides a repeatable reference for the outside edge. Your lettering, banners, artwork, borders, and mounting layout are added separately as part of your own shield design.

Choose Your Shape and Size

Compare the two profiles in the product photos before choosing. Size alone does not describe the shape of a shield, so check both the outline and the dimensions against the design you plan to make. Sizes are listed as height x width:

How to Use Your Template

Place the template flat on your leather, position it where you want the shield outline, and hold it steady while tracing around the outside edge. Remove the template before cutting the traced outline. Keep the template flat between uses and avoid bending it or using it as a cutting surface.

This is a layout tool for making leather helmet shields. Leather, paint, cutting tools, mounting hardware, and a finished helmet shield are not included. Confirm the intended finished shield size against your helmet setup before starting your project.
