Council Tool NY Hook

The Council Tool New York Style Roof Hook combines the traditional roof-hook configuration with practical updates for ventilation, overhaul, access, and other fireground work.

Its hook head and chisel end are drop forged from high-carbon steel. The shaft uses one-inch-diameter Drawn Over Mandrel steel tubing to provide strength without adding unnecessary material. Council Tool leaves off rubber and foam grips, allowing the hook to be used as supplied or wrapped according to department preference.

Forged Halligan marrying slot
A slot forged into the lower hook accepts the forks of a traditional Halligan, allowing the tools to be carried together.

Pointed upper hook
The pointed upper hook is designed for tempered window glass, auto glass, and piercing roof decking.

Ladder rung compatible chisel end
The chisel end and one-inch tubing fit inside standard fire-ladder rungs. This provides another way to position the tool or keep equipment off the ground.
