Acrylic Helmet Shield Template Sets

Keep a complete range of shield outlines at your workbench with acrylic helmet shield template sets. These reusable layout templates help you trace consistent outside profiles onto leather when you make firefighter helmet shields in different sizes. Choose all six sizes in Shape 1, all six sizes in Shape 2, or the complete collection of both shapes.

Each template is made from 1/8" acrylic and marked with its shield size. Having the full size range together makes it easier to compare proportions, select an outline for a new design, and return to the same profile on a later project.

• Shape 1 set: $100. Six templates, with one of every available size in Shape 1.
• Shape 2 set: $100. Six templates, with one of every available size in Shape 2.
• Complete set: $185. Twelve templates, with all six sizes in both shapes.

Every shape set includes the sizes below. Dimensions are listed as height x width. The complete set includes two templates at each size, one in each shape:

Repeatable Outlines for Leather Shield Projects

Compare the profiles in the photos and choose the set that suits your work. Place the selected template flat on the leather, hold it steady, and trace the outside edge. Lift the template away before cutting the outline. Keep the templates flat in storage and protect the edges so they remain useful references for future projects.

These are physical acrylic templates for the outside shield shape. Lettering, banners, artwork, and mounting locations are laid out separately. Leather, paint, cutting tools, hardware, and finished helmet shields are not included. Check the intended finished shield dimensions against the helmet setup before beginning.
