Renegade Rocker Custom Firefighter Helmet Shield

The Renegade Leather Firefighter Helmet Shield is the configurable artwork option in the collection. Its full-rocker layout can be ordered in five distinct configurations: Standard, Flag Top, Flag Center, Icon Center, or Icon Center with Flag Top.

Choose the Renegade artwork configuration

Standard keeps the layout focused on text and identification.
Flag Top places the flag treatment in the upper area.
Flag Center makes the flag the central artwork.
Icon Center uses the selected available icon in the middle.
Icon Center with Flag Top combines centered icon artwork with the upper flag treatment.

Use the live preview to enter the available department, rank, company, name, shift, or other identification and select the supported colors and artwork. Review which design configuration is selected before adding the shield to the cart.

The chosen configuration determines the artwork location. Do not assume a flag or center icon is included when Standard is selected.

Leatherwork and sizing

Each Renegade shield is handmade from full-grain leather. The textured body, beveled edges, rocker layout, and selected artwork create the product’s recognizable structure.

Choose the dimensions that match the helmet and shield holder from the available size options. Measure before ordering. The shield ships unpunched so the mounting holes can be positioned for the customer’s hardware.

Choose Renegade when artwork placement and full-rocker customization are the deciding factors. For stars and stripes across the entire face, use the American Flag Leather Firefighter Helmet Shield. Shield Height – Measure from the helmet brim up to the top notch on your shield holder.
Shield Width – Measure from outside-to-outside of the mounting posts or screws.

These options are not offered on every shield. When available on a design, the explanations below show what each option changes in the finished shield.

Textured

A tooled texture applied to the face of the leather. It adds visual bite and gives the shield a more aggressive, high-contrast look.

Smooth

No surface texture added. The leather face remains flat and clean, giving the shield a sharper, more traditional appearance with full focus on layout and lettering.

Beveling/Tooling

Hand-carved and stamped tooling with beveled detail around borders, numbers, or design elements. Adds depth and definition to the leather.

Start by matching the shield to your helmet’s holder, check alignment, and mark your hole positions before drilling or punching. Once the hardware is secured, tighten everything evenly and break it in so it sits clean and square.
