If you choose no insert. There will not be an insert with the shield. We recommend looking at the other insert options in the link above

• Some things to note. 
  • We intend the mounting studs/screws to pass through the insert.
  • To help with fitting we have made the minimum height of the shield 6.25" inches. This should fit most plastic models like the 1010, 1044. For leather lids we recommend the 6.5 inch height. For the TL2 we recommend 6.25" or 6.5" inch wide.

Helmet Shield Sizing Guide

Shield will not come pre punched. You will need to punch/drill the shield to mount on your helmet.
